PROSPECTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF GASTRONOMIC TOURISM IN THE POLISSYA DISTRICT.
The article dedicated to the issues about development of gastronomic tourism of Polissia. Selected features, advantages and prospects of given region. Nominated major problem, investigated the strong sides of conditions of Polissia’s gastronomic tourism, designed the methods and techniques by which, it can reach the fundamentally new level. The article defined the gastronomic tourism, deeply characterized the features of Polissia’s food and traditions and customs. Also highlighted the perspective kinds of gastronomic tourism for Polissia, such as: honey, fish, fruit- vegetables, mixed, tasting grain products and tasting low alcohol beverages. Characterized Polissia infrastructure, which plays an important role in the gastronomic tourism in the region. Infrastructure represented by developed recreated complexes, availability of comfortable establishments of accommodation and food. The most interesting dining options: restaurant «Kurіn», «Vognem i Mechem», «Vulik», «Kozacha Levada» ethno-restaurant «Panych», «Medova hata» (in Lutsk); restaurants «Kolyba» and «Hutorok», snack bar «Chernigivsky stravy» (Chernigov); restaurants «Dva otamany», «Pіdkova» hotel-restaurant complex «Fіlvarok» (in Zhitomir) and «Stara gubernіya» (near Zhitomir). Listed the main astronomical events throughout the year, such as: Lutsk street food festival «Lutsk Food Fest», ethnic festival «Christmas in Lutsk», «With love to fat» in Luck, «Trinity Fair» in Chernihiv region, Chernihiv “Festival of bread”, “International festival of potato pancakes” in Korosten.Key words: gastronomic tourism, Polissia, cuisine, traditions, traveling.
