MORPHOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF RELIEF OF BEREZHANSKE OPILLYA.

The Berezhansky Opillia relief morphology has been analysed according to the following elements: dotted, linear and areal. The analysis has been carried out on the basis of constructed morphological maps on the scale of 1:50 000 for the key part of the Naraivka – Zolota Lypa watershed. Among the linear elements there are: water-divuding, thalwegs, convex and concave bends. A great density of linear elements per unit of area can be observed (the longest of which are the thalwegs). The sublatitudinal (WNW–ESE) and latitudinal directions of linear reach prevail, less so the diagonal (NW–SE). The lines of convex bends in most cases separate the highland surfaces from the lower-lying slopes. The lines of concave bends are the borders of the bottoms of the valleys, the lines of the foot of the steep slopes and they also restrict the flat. Water-dividing lines are most spread as borders of small watersheds (polls of small valleys). The dotted elements of relief (high points) are more or less distinct tops of hills and buttes. The areal elements include: vertex surfaces, flats, the bottoms of valleys and slopes (essentially dominate in terms of area). The highland surfaces are mostly located in the central parts of watersheds the axial zone being shifted to the West. The highland surface which is located on the main watershed had branches (subsidiary highland surfaces), which as a rule gradually lower to their ends. The flats are subhorizontal (flat or weakly curved) surfaces on the slopes. The bottoms according to the cross-section are of two types: 1) flat; 2) shallow concave and wavy. Among the slopes according to the shape in the scheme the convex prevail. Full consistent left-sided asymmetry is characteristic of this territory.
