REGULATORY CLASSIFICATION OF SOME OIKONYMS IN KALBAJAR – LACHIN DISTRICT.

Regulatory classification of some of Kelbajar-Lachin oikonyms region. Kalbajar-Lachin oikonymy region formed over a long period. Studies prove once again how rich regional toponomiya valuable facts concerning the history of Azerbaijan. About the ancient Turkic tribe Dondary about their stay in the Caucasus and on the Azov coast reported by many, ranging from Miletli Hekaeta (VI-V century BC) to Strabo, Tasita, Plutarha and Lucullus. There were judgments and the fact that they lived in the Kuban were Iranian-lingual, The word “dondar” when translated from Ossetian means “the river is stopped.” In “Kitabi (book) – Dede Korkut ‘s name of the person Dondar Bey related to this ethnonym. It is assumed that the Turkish-speaking dondary the territory of Albania, came to the III-IV centuries. The study of place names gives grounds to say that most oikonyms arisen in connection with the names of the tribes, generations, obshnosti and personal names of Turkish origin. The study of place names Kelbajar-Lachin region is very important for the study of Azerbaijan toponymy in its entirety. This in turn is useful for the study of historical geography, ethnic origin of the Azerbaijani people, the history of the Azerbaijani language. By nominative toponomii classifications in the study area is dominated by place names referred haraktericheskim grounds, position, color, quantity, size, and others. Toponyms of Kelbajar-Lachin region, originated in different periods of history and formed on the basis of the general laws inherent in the Azerbaijan toponomii.
